Varshini died after her hair was caught in the wheels of a go-kart

A B.Tech student, Varshini, died on Thursday after her hair got tangled in the wheel of the go-kart. Unfortunately, her head injuries were too severe for her to survive even after reaching a hospital. The incident took place at the go-karting play zone in Gurrum Guda, Hyderabad.

On Thursday, October 8, she went to the go-karting zone. While she was in the go-kart, her helmet somehow came off. Thus, her hair got tangled in the wheels. Hence, she suffered from severe head injuries, leading to her death.

Family blames go-kart organisers for death

Her parents claim that due to negligence of the go-kart organizers, their child died. They mentioned that the helmet broke into extremely small pieces. They also filed a complaint against the organisers at the Meerpet police station. M Mahender Reddy, an inspector, stated that the sections under which the case was filed will change as the girl passed away.

A similar incident happened in 2018 when Puneet Kaur, a 28-year-old woman, was riding a go-kart at an amusement park in Punjab. Her hair and scalp too tore as the helmet came off. Even though they took her to the hospital, she was in a critical state and passed away.
